engagement: crystal | nolan

This week has been awesome. How are all of you? I can't tell you how much I am loving Spring. The colors are amazing, the flowers are insane, the fields are in bloom and it's gorgeous! What's even more beautiful is our amazing couples!!

Meet Crystal and Nolan. 

These two are lovebirds. Totally in love and it shows!! Nolan has the best smile and he is such a kind guy. Crystal is so pretty and charming as well. We felt such a connection with them, like we had been friends for years! What is even more amazing is that they play music together (and they kill it)!  They busted out their guitars for us during the session and it was rad to hear them jam together in a field full of colors...over looking the ocean...no big deal.  What a cool moment for all of us!!

Crystal and Nolan: We feel blessed that you chose us to document your love and your life. You both are  rad and talented people.

wedding: lindsey | greg

Hey friends :)

Happy April! Did anyone get fooled on April fool's day? Only one person tried to get me... didn't work though! How is everyone? This has been a crazy and fun week for us here at Shirock Photography. We have been shooting some awesome sessions and have been so excited about our images! We are also in the middle of searching for an intern to work with us at our studio and we can't be more excited! It takes a lot of time to search for a perfect fit, but we trust that the right person will come a long soon! Also, I (Sarah) have been recovering from a minor accident that screwed up my back. Thanks for all the prayers by the way!

This next wedding was amazing and couldn't have been more perfect. Meet Lindsey and Greg. 

Their wedding took place in our own city at a cool venue called The Crossings in Carlsbad. It was a beautiful day with amazing clouds and a perfect breeze. Lindsey looked gorgeous as usual and Greg was looking like the gentleman that he is. They are such a rad couple. We actually have some mutual friends so the wedding was even more fun for us because we stayed and partied after the cameras were away (even though the cameras are really never "away"). These two love each other so much; it's so evident. It was a fabulous day and we are SO thankful to them and their families for having us!

engagement: lily | aaron

Hey! Hopefully everyone is having a great week! We started our week out a little differently. We went up to Joshua Tree on Monday and hiked around the park for a bit which is always amazing! Then we went to Pappy and Harriet's up in Pioneer Town for a great show by the band Deer Tick. We had such a blast and it was great to take a little break from the regular routine. You have to do that sometimes!  But before we headed up there we spent some time with this awesome couple, Lily and Aaron! We met Lily at a recent bridal show and it turned out that we knew a few of the same people. Small world! We were so stoked when they asked us to do their engagement session down in Balboa Park. It's been a while since we've shot there so it's always nice to go back. I mean, seriously and obviously one of the best spots in San Diego. We had a great time exploring the park, sharing some laughs and getting to know these too. These lucky ducks are having their wedding in Cancun this fall! How awesome is that?! Thanks for letting us tell a part of your story guys. Hoping to hang out again soon! Maybe we'll see you at Relm!
