Hey! Hopefully everyone is having a great week! We started our week out a little differently. We went up to Joshua Tree on Monday and hiked around the park for a bit which is always amazing! Then we went to Pappy and Harriet's up in Pioneer Town for a great show by the band Deer Tick. We had such a blast and it was great to take a little break from the regular routine. You have to do that sometimes! But before we headed up there we spent some time with this awesome couple, Lily and Aaron! We met Lily at a recent bridal show and it turned out that we knew a few of the same people. Small world! We were so stoked when they asked us to do their engagement session down in Balboa Park. It's been a while since we've shot there so it's always nice to go back. I mean, seriously and obviously one of the best spots in San Diego. We had a great time exploring the park, sharing some laughs and getting to know these too. These lucky ducks are having their wedding in Cancun this fall! How awesome is that?! Thanks for letting us tell a part of your story guys. Hoping to hang out again soon! Maybe we'll see you at Relm!
Wow! Can you believe Spring is here already? It came so fast and this year just seems to be flying by. Sloooow down! We just got back from WPPI in Vegas and man, did we learn a lot. We got some great insight and inspiration from some great photographers from all over the world. We also got to hang out with a few other local San Diego photographers which was a blast!
... and of course, right when we got home we went back at it! This is Jessica and Jesus. We met them a few months back when they came over to the studio and spent a little time with us. They are just two of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. So polite and mild mannered; so easy going. I guess they have to be because they both work with kids. I'm sure that takes a lot of patience and they seem to be nailing it on that front! You can really tell that they love what they do and they love each other. It's great to see that passion in someone. They took us down to Old Poway Park in Poway. What a rad spot! How did we not know about this place? Every other photographer sure did because we basically had to wait in line for a few of these shots! That's where the patience really came in handy ;) It was worth the wait though. We had a great time cruising around the park and basically stayed until it was pitch black out! We just couldn't leave. Check it out!
How was everyone's week? This month is already flying by! Spring is right around the corner! We're about to head out to Vegas for WPPI, a photography convention where tons of photographers get together and talk shop. It's going to be so fun! We're really looking forward to it! Meet Andrea and Zak...
We had the pleasure of meeting these two at a bridal show back in January and we're so glad we did! They're a really great, fun-loving couple who's love really shines through in their interaction with each other. We love that! Not only that, but they're also pretty easy on the eyes, eh? They were so natural and comfortable with the camera. It was like as soon as we started, they just slipped right into model mode. We had a great time romping around Torrey Pines State Reserve. Love this place! Thanks Andrea and Zak for letting us be a part of your lives. We can't wait for the wedding and for more future hang outs!
Hey everyone! Well, it's officially full blown wedding season, which we are very excited about :) We've been photographing and meeting with a bunch of awesome couples lately. One of the greatest things about what we do is exactly that. Making new friends, meeting amazing people and getting to hear all about their stories. That alone makes what we do so rewarding!
One of those awesome couples is these guys: AJ and Devyn. We had the pleasure of meeting Devyn last year after she was in another one of our brides weddings. You may recognize her from Erika and Bret's wedding back in Nov. of 2011. We love when that happens because it makes it extra special getting to see one of our past couples again at another wedding. So good! It's like a big happy family! Right when we met Devyn we had a great connection. She shared a lot of similar interests, likes great music, has tattoos... you know, things we're into! We didn't get to meet AJ until the night before their wedding at the Rehearsal Dinner but man, what a guy! Super friendly, down to earth and just a true gentleman. Way to keep it classy Mr.!
Their beautiful wedding at Soka University was such an honor to be a part of. Such a rad location tucked up in the hills of Aliso Viejo, CA. Epic! The best part about these two is that they're moving back to our area from North Carolina, which means... we're gonna hang! Oh yeah, did I mention catered by In N' Out? Um... genius! Check it out!
