I'm going to start blogging once a week because I realized that there are SO many other aspects of our life we want to let you all in on! We want to get to know YOU and you to know US!! We are crazy and strange but if you let us into your life, we will have a blast together!! So, here's some cool stuff from our personal life...

Duane and I have had an insane last few months...

My family (all nine of us!!) went to Amsterdam to visit my youngest brother who studies and works there. (I know, isn't he soooo cooollllllll!?!?) Then after that we went to one of our favorite places in the world, Barcelona! We LOVE Barcelona!!!!! It's eye candy over there. I loved photographing our time, walking around, drinking wine, people watching, shopping, and eating TONS of GOOD FOOD!!!!!

We are So blessed that we were able to go, seriously. My family is amazing and times with them are the best ever. I love making memories with them, and I love capturing them just as much. Duane is the coolest person to travel with and explore with. He is the JAM!!!!! So down for whatever all the time.

You guys HAVE to go to these places and smash so much good food in your face!!!!!

TGIF!
Who even says that anymore? I just thought about TGIF and watching Boy Meets World. How funny. Anyway, we have been out of the country for the past couple of weeks and when we got home we did this next Engagement session for a couple of our friends who live up in Pasadena. Duane and I went to Amsterdam and Spain with my 8 other family members and it was amazing! I love traveling with my family so much. We make the best memories. I actually need to post some of those photos as well... We leave again tomorrow to go to New Orleans for our annual Imaging USA photography convention. We are SO SO SO pumped!!!! It's a chance for us to learn more, and get even more inspired by some of the greatest photographers around the world. Plus, I have never ever been there so I'm ready to eat some crazy good food and listen to some amazing jazz. Gonna be great!!

On anther note, Kevin and Lisa are such a great couple. They have been together for like 10 years and are now getting married. Duane has known them for a while, having been in the music industry and what not... them rock stars... Anyway, these two are such a blast to be around. We went on an adventure all over LA and Pasadena. They took us to lunch at this insane sausage place, then after we went to this new bar where I had the best martini of my life!!!
Thank you Lisa and Kevin again for choosing us as friends and as your photographers :) These are just a few of the ones I loved.
I seriously can't wait for your epic wedding reception and that vegas-crazy light show!! You guys are amazing :)

This is sadly our last session of the year. I am pumped because it was such a fun way to end the year! We are leaving for Europe in just a few days to visit my brother, Luke, who lives over there and when we get home it will be 2012. What the heck, why haven't they invented flying cars yet..?

I am SO thankful for all of the clients that God has brought to us. Thank you everyone for blessing our lives so much with yours...Seriously..... THANK YOU!!!!! I love u all!!!!!!! Our job rules!!!!!!!!

Mitch and Chelsie are so RAD!!!! We love them because they have such cool personalities and they are so kind and welcoming. This is the second time hanging out with them. We had wine and dinner back a few weeks ago and we were able to really get to know these two. Chelsie loves adventure and spontaneity (which I relate to a lot). Mitch is such a gentleman and loves to have fun. They were rad too because they wanted to try something new and do an Engagement session that was totally THEM. They have an amazing puppy, Dexter who they LOVE. They wanted him to be a part of their photos because he is their baby (we almost stole him ;). They took us all around Long Beach and showed us the chill spots. We went to the docks and strolled along the boardwalk. They also took us to the most adorable Christmas tree farm, which was such a great idea!!! I love stuff like this, something new, something that shows personality! I love when our clients take us into their lives and stories and we are so honored to be able to share that with them... here are a few that I personally love. xo enjoy! and.... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

Happy December!!
This is going to be a short post because my fingers are freezing!!! It's cold here at my desk and I need to slam some hot chocolate. BUT... I wanted to say something about this adorable family. Mickey and James have been amazing to Duane and I by referring SO many of their lovely and amazing friends to us over the past 3 years. We were their wedding photographers and have been blessed to be some of their closest friends as well. Look at this baby they made, he is insane!!!!! We had a blast with them, and they have the coolest place downtown San Diego... Made me want to move so badly.

What can I say about this wedding..? Fabulous, unique, elegant, amazing, enchanting, romantic... I could go on. We had the most wonderful thunderstorm the day of their wedding and even though the guests and party may have been disappointed, I was thrilled!! Being from the mid-west, it made it so much more unique and exciting for us to shoot. Erika was such a champ and rolled with the punches. She is also just so gorgeous!! Bret is charming and very kind hearted. Her mother was able to get fabulous rain boots and umbrellas for all the girls and it made the day so much fun!!! We LOVED this family and there was so much love and joy throughout the entire day. Plus, I LOVE RAIN!! Did I already say that?? It was awesome!
Liz, Erika's mother, did an incredible job with the elegant decor and spent SO much time making it a masterpiece... which it was!! Thanks LIZ!!

Hey!
I know I just posted a blog a day or two ago, but I've been SO excited about our new images that I have just been editing my butt off!! We just got home from Chicago and did an amazing wedding, SUCH a great way to end the month!! I don't have too much time right now to write a whole lot, my God sister and her husband are visiting us from Portland in a few hours!! woohooo!!!
I have to say something about this wedding though. We are honored to have been able to not only be at this wedding, but to photograph it as well. Derek and Erica have been my long time friends from Michigan. I ADORE this couple!!!!!!!! You have NO idea, we love them SO much, they have been a part of my life, and I appreciate them SO SO much... Their love is beautiful, real, strong, and I have no doubt that it will last a life time. They are SO in love with life and with each other!!!
We got to do a Trash the Dress shoot the day after the wedding which was a freaking total blast!! I loved the vintage/industrial vibe going on the whole weekend also. I had an amazing time shooting this wedding and I will remember it forever. I am sorry to not have enough time to write more about it...

It's November!!!! How is everyone doing!?

We have had an insane month of October and it has been an absolute blast!!! Thank you everyone for choosing us to be a part of the best day of your lives, we feel honored!!! Seriously. So many fun parties, such fun memories, so many awesome images... Love was in the air! Duane and I can't thank you enough. I am so proud of Duane for working his butt off and we got to work with our new friend Brandon Barclay, who shot some of your weddings also. He is so rad!!!!!

Anyway, meet Tim and Bree. They are a foxy couple for sure ;) They have become our friends in the last few months and we love these two!! Not only are they soooo cool and good lookin, but they are SUCH good and kind people and we love spending time with them!! Bree is gorgeous and funny and Tim lights up a room in a second with his charm and awesome personality. We did their e-session a while back. Remember the cool couple at the fair!? That's them!!

Well, here they are again. I loved every minute of this wedding. They were married in La Jolla at the Darlington House. GORGEOUS venue if any of you future brides were wondering... Super vintage vibe. Bree hand made everything in this wedding; she worked super hard and it showed. It was so vintage, unique and totally my style. LOVED IT!! Great job Bree and everyone else who worked so hard. Both your families are amazing too!!

Hi friends :)
Hope you are having a fab-tastic day! I certainly am... We leave for Chicago tomorrow to shoot a wedding and see my parents so I am super excited!! I am ready for some real fall weather. This month has come and gone and I'm in shock at how fast it flew by.. kinda bummed. I don't have too much time to write a whole lot, but who reads my blogs anyway... ;) We have one more wedding to go and it's been a great month, full of amazing couple's and weddings... Too bad Duane and I lost our voices and got super sick which certainly sucks. Hope I didn't give anyone my lame cold!!
Anyway, here is a wedding we did from this month... the couple was insanely cute and SUPER IN LOVE!!!! Maria is such a laid back, gorgeous girl and Alex is a blast and one of the nicest guys we have ever met!! They are so fun, and laughed the entire day. That's how it should be!! We truly loved shooting this wedding, as had a cool vintage vibe. They also dressed up for us in a couple of Nightmare Before Christmas masks that fit PERFECTLY with their style and cake toppers! Thanks for being so amazing you two... and thanks again for having us, what a blast!! I love these images I picked for today's sneak peak... hope you do tooooooooooo!!!!!!! Off to Chi-town we go!!

Here's another for ya!
Nick and Anne got married at the Marina Village in San Diego. We have shot many fabulous weddings in this location before and theirs was beautiful as well. This couple is such a blast! We had lunch with them a few weeks prior to their wedding and got to know each other a lot better. They had mentioned to us how Anne was super into zombie movies, while Nick loves Star Wars... So those two things really stuck with Duane and me as we were brainstorming for their "costume shot." Each couple this month is dressing up for just a few Halloween themed photos and everyone so far has been totally down to play the parts! I love our clients!! These guys really went for it and it was so fun!! Anne totally dressed up like a zombie and I think she is so rad for doing that in her wedding dress!!!

Solutions For Change-"An Evening to Remember"

What an awesome opportunity this was! A while back we had the chance to work with some very cool people who have an organization called Solutions For Change. They help house homeless families in San Diego county and put them through a 1,000 day program to help get them working and back to self-sustainability. So we were more than thrilled when they asked us to photograph their special Gala event, "An Evening to Remember" featuring guest speaker: Former Secretary of State, Dr. Condaleezza Rice!!! The night was incredible and the room was filled with generosity as people attending the event gave a total of 1.3 million bucks to help these families in need! What a success and true honor to be a part of. So here are a few photos from the evening. One of which was featured on the cover of The Coast News. Pretty cool, huh?

It's Wednesday today and I can't even tell you how amazing this past weekend was for us... It was insane!!!!!!!! We had a wedding Friday, then we shot a huge event on Saturday that Condoleezza Rice was speaking at, then Sunday another wedding! I'm telling you, this month is the  BEST ever for weddings. I LOVE October!! It definitely has started with some amazing weddings and events. I have SO much to blog it's nuts!! I'll post as mush as I can and as quickly as possible. I know we have some brides who can't wait to see their photos...  woo hoo!!!!

Well, this is June and Walter.

 We did their e session a few months back and their story is such a good one. They met because she was his nurse when he was in the hospital, he couldn't stop staring at his hot nurse (haha) so he HAD to have her to be his wife!! Turns out, she fell in love too... obviously. We were there to catch the entire wedding day. It was amazing to be there, also an honor to be able to go on base for their ceremony and the party. Thanks for your service Walter, June you are one of the sweetest chicks I have ever met, you looked insane on your wedding day!!! Here are a few of my personal fav's. What's up?!

It's Thursday today and I am finally able to post a new blog! Woohoo!! We have been waiting for this wedding for a looonnnggg time! We did their engagement session like a year ago. It finally came and it was amazing and an absolute blast to photograph!! These photos turned out fabulous and Karin looked amazing. They got to do a "first look" before the wedding, seeing each other for the first time, alone, and Duane and I were able to capture those intimate moments between them... you should have seen his face! He was so cute, just staring at Karin. She was gorgeous of course.

It's hard for me to even start writing this blog, because I can't even explain how cool this photo session was in words. Good thing I have photographs to help me...

Shaunna and Jordan are from Oregon, I met Shaunna a while back at a mutual friend's wedding while visiting in Portland. She asked me if we could capture the homecoming of her fiance, coming back from an 8 month tour at war on his Navy ship. 8 months!!!! and I was complaining about Duane going on tour with his band........

So, we followed her around that day, and got to capture the intense, emotional, exciting, intimate reunion of the two of them.

I can't even thank them enough for asking us to be a part of this moment in their lives!! I feel honored to have had this chance, in a way it changed me. After they saw each other, we had the opportunity to actually go on the ship and take some photos, and I have to be honest, I was nervous. But these photos are some of my very favorite of all time. I don't know if it's because of the emotions I felt that day watching families and loved ones reunite, or just because these two are amazing people who I hope to have as friends for my life! (plus they are so good looking!!) I hope the photos speak for themselves, and we truly are thankful that we were there. Thank you for your service Jordan. I look forward to hopefully being able to shoot your wedding, and also to enjoying your friendship.... take a peak :)

Hey everyone! Well it's been a week or so since we've posted anything other than babies! Everybody is poppin' 'em out these days! We figure it's about time we get another couple up, so here ya go. Yesterday I had the amazing honor of being invited into the hospital room of my good friends Vorie and Corey Edelmann to shoot some photos of their fresh 6 hours old baby boy! It was an incredible feeling because I had never gotten to do that before!! This baby was perfect, I'm not just saying that... it looked beautiful! Vorie was such a champ for having to go through all that pain, but he is finally here!!! Remember the post I did of Vorie when she was still pregnant? What's up friends!!??
How has your week been? I haven't had the time to post for a long time, so sorry about that... we have been out shooting and trying to make some awesome new art!! I cannot believe how fast summer is going... kinda bums me out when I think about it. BUT... at least it's sunny this year, unlike last year... Anyway, I will be posting a lot more in the next few months. Wedding season is nuts right now!! I love it so much! Happiness all around. Our amazing brides and grooms keep surprising me with their willingness to do whatever I want! Thanks awesome clients who I adore. You are all amazing.
This next post is from a fabulous wedding of some amazingly fun and beautiful people. Carmelo is a marine and I always forget to mention this in my posts, but I want to say THANK YOU Carmelo for your service!!!! Nicole is a gorgeous and fun bride, who actually invited us over a couple days before to meet their entire Italian family who flew in from New Jersey... and let me tell you... this family is SO lively, fun, welcoming, hilarious, and close together. It was an honor to be invited into their beautiful home and meet their family and 8 nugget dogs. The wedding was at the Mission in Oceanside, and then we took a ferry to Coronado Island for the party. Shoes came off, and dancing got wild! We stayed the entire time to party it up with our new friends... Here are just a few from the day...

Yesterday I had the honor of shooting a maternity session with one of my very good friends and her little cute family!! I pretty much convinced her to let me since she is due in about one month. Good evening friends!!
Right now I am listening to my favorite singer Ella Fitzgerald, while editing photos.. she rules and I lover her so much!! Plus, today was sunny so I am in the best mood ever...
This couple is SO amazing to be around and the most lovely people. We met them back when we did a bridal show and I cannot be more thankful to have them as new friends and clients. Brittany and Marc took us to Pizza Port after a fabulous 4 hour session!! (we couldn't stop, it was too fun and we kept finding sweet spots!) We did the session in San Clemente on a Sunday afternoon and it was a BEAUTIFUL day. It also was so easy to shoot these two because their love was so obvious for each other, plus Marc is such a great guy and Brittany is gorgeous!! For all the stuff these two have been through, they deserved an amazing session and even more fabulous photos... Brittany and Marc, thank you a billion-trillion for choosing us, we couldn't be more honored to have this awesome privilege!! Here are just a few of my personal fav's... there are SO many!! HEY!! It's Wednesday and life has been pretty CRAZY!! We have been running all over earth doing engagement and wedding photos, plus the band Duane is in, Other Mountains, has been playing some amazing shows in San Diego and LA... You should check them out :)

Anyways... this E-session we did was with an amazing couple named Tim and Bree. Not only are they super good looking :), they are SO fun to get to know and be around, we felt like we were just chilling with new friends at the Del Mar Fair... seriously, these two are so in love and Bree is so beautiful!! We keep getting awesome couple's who want to try new and cool stuff and it makes our job SO SWEET!! Also, Tim actually showed up to Duane's show and got to see him rock the stage, thanks so much for coming out Tim!!! You rule!! We can't wait for this wedding.
This post is probably longer than some of the other ones because I had a very difficult time choosing just a few for the post. The colors and lights were like eye candy for me at this fair. And usually I hate the fair! So.... Here are just some of my most favorite ones. Hope you enjoy :)

Good evening everyone! It's been a crazy weekend, we had an amazing engagement session with a cute couple who actually won this as a gift from one of our bridal shows! We did their session, then Duane surprised me for my 28th birthday and took me to Catalina Island for a night... WOW I'm obsessed with that place now. I can't believe how sweet and gorgeous it is! Then we had an 80's birthday bash, then I got back to work and finished this cute couple's engagement photos. They were so sweet, very cute and fun people and I'm so glad they won the prize! We had the great pleasure of shooting Sherri and Marvin's wedding last Saturday at the beautiful Abbott Manor in Temecula, CA. Sherri and Marvin were both so calm and collected from start to finish. It was so nice to see two people so in love and just soaking up every moment. Although the morning was a bit cloudy, the day panned out to be amazing! As a photographer, and you fellow ones know what I'm talking about, you dream about clouds like these. You imagine them all big and bubbly and beautiful. Thank you clouds for delivering! You made these shots even better! Sherri and Marvin were also cool enough to let us experiment with some fun lighting techniques during the reception and those shots just look insane too! Marian and John were SO amazing and fun!! We bombed all over San Diego: Old Town, Downtown, Altitude Sky Lounge and even The USS Midway. We could not stop photographing them because we were having such an amazing adventure in San Diego with this couple....These two are not only sweet to take photos of, turns out... they are SO fun to hang out with as well!! They put up with traffic, us losing their sunglasses, more traffic, running around town, more traffic, being super hungry, and then more traffic!! Hey! Happy Wednesday! It finally became sunny and warm today, I thought this cloudy weather was going to be here for good like last summer... I'm feeling extremely happy today because we had such an amazing time this past weekend shooting this wedding. They were married at The Old Richland Schoolhouse in San Marcos, CA. It was a super fun day shooting these two because not only are they friends of ours, but they are gorgeous and lovely people. The sun was shining, Katrina looked stunning, and as always...love was in the air! (so cheesy, but so true) haha... Matt's love for Katrina is obvious and genuine and makes me feel so happy that this kind of love is alive! Seriously, I had to go home and watch my own wedding video because this wedding made me so happy... I loved the vintage, warm feel to this day... These two cuties were the winners of one of our give-a-ways at The Del Mar Wedding Event! We had the pleasure of them showing us a great new spot in San Diego last Saturday and boy did it work to all of our advantages! We had an amazing opportunity to do a full day of Family portraits this past weekend for our new friends who run the Prison Fellowship Ministry at The Rock Church in San Diego. I can't tell you how happy we were to meet all kinds of awesome families, and the most adorable children... We had a bunch of families come out for their portraits taken. These families brought so much joy to my life and I am thrilled and blessed to have had the chance to photograph them. I hope we brought them as much happiness as they did for us. I can't wait for our next shoot! I want to make Framed With Love huge!! God has blessed us so much, this is the least we can do to show our love in our own community :)
